Breast ReconstructionBreast reconstruction is typically performed after mastectomy in some breast cancer patients. Reconstruction is an involved process that takes time to achieve the best cosmetic result possible. Typically after the breast tissue is removed by a general surgeon the breast reconstruction takes place as either an immediate or delayed sub type. In the immediate breast reconstruction patient the plastic surgeon places a tissue expander at the time of mastectomy. In the delayed reconstruction patient the tissue expander is placed after the patient has healed some time after the mastectomy. Skin Cancer/Skin LesionsWe provide surgical procedures for all types of cancerous and non-cancerous lesions. Utilizing our skill set as plastic surgeons with a referral from your primary doctor or dermatologist we will gladly evaluate and review your surgical needs. If you have any other suspect lesions on the body or face we just ask that you check with your insurance company if we are a preferred provider. We currently accept Health-First, Aetna, Cigna, and limited Medicare patients. If you are unsure we ask that you call your insurance provider. Breast Reduction SurgeryAlthough most often considered a cosmetic surgery, breast reduction surgery is sometimes considered a reconstructive surgery if the breast size causes significant medical problems.
